Our Story:
"I didn't know I could ... until now."

Nancy and Dan Barrett have co-founded Until Now, a nonprofit aimed at helping people experience the benefits of creative arts while overcoming limiting mindsets. Their mission is to provide a welcoming, creative space for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

The concept of Until Now stems from the Barrett’s desire to help others through counseling and the creative arts.  Dan has spent decades working in social services and helping people of all ages and from all walks of life to overcome trauma, addictions and life events that have hindered them from living life to the fullest. Nancy has seen the healing and empowering benefits of the creative arts as the owner of Class with a Glass, an art studio offering art classes for all ages.

The development of Until Now is the culmination of Dan and Nancy’s professional and personal experiences. It is their desire to provide more opportunities for others to grow, learn, heal and experience what the creative arts through Until Now offers. With a talented team of art instructors and the expressive arts workshops taught by a licensed art therapist, programs will expand and make art accessible to the wider community through inclusive opportunities and with a scholarship program.

Until Now offers experiences like the Creative Arts Club, where young people can explore painting, sketching, hand building with clay, crafts and more. The organization is dedicated to using art as a tool for self-expression and skill-building. Whether a beginner or an experienced artist, the supportive environment encourages everyone to break through their self-doubt and embrace their creative potential.
